Checkers

Classic American checkers for two players. Move diagonally, jump your opponent's pieces, and reach the far side to crown a king. Captures are compulsory and chain jumps must be finished, just like the real thing. Grab a seat, share the link, and let everyone else watch.

Start a lobby

You'll sit as Red. Share the lobby link so a friend can take White.

Turn off the public list to keep it link-only. Share the lobby link and friends can watch or chat.

Open Checkers lobbies

Jump into a lobby that's already running.

How to play

  1. Two players sit down: Red (bottom) and White. Everyone else can watch and chat.
  2. Pieces move one square diagonally forward onto an empty dark square.
  3. Jump an enemy piece by hopping over it to the empty square behind. If you can jump, you must, and chain jumps must be finished.
  4. Reach the far row to crown a king. Kings move and jump both forward and backward, one square at a time.
  5. Capture or block every enemy piece to win. If 40 moves each pass without a capture or a man moving, it's a draw.
  6. You can resign at any time. After a game either player can start a rematch, and the first move alternates.
