Games / Stratigo
Stratigo
A battle of hidden ranks for two players. Secretly arrange forty pieces, then march them across the board. You can't see which enemy piece is which until they fight, so every move is part bluff and part guess. Capture the enemy flag to win.
2 players, spectators welcome

How to play
- Two players sit down. Everyone else can watch and chat.
- Arrange your 40 pieces in your four rows. Swap any two pieces by tapping one and then the other, or drag one onto another. Press Randomize for a fresh layout, then Ready.
- Take turns moving one piece one square forward, back or sideways. Moving onto an enemy piece attacks it.
- When pieces fight, both ranks are revealed. The higher rank wins and equal ranks both go. The loser leaves the board.
- Bombs and the Flag never move. A bomb destroys whoever hits it, except a Miner, who defuses it.
- Scouts can move any distance in a straight line. The Spy defeats the Marshal, but only if the Spy attacks.
- Capture the enemy Flag to win. You also win if the other army can't move.
