About Me
Hey! I'm Ian Wurst — a passionate software developer and data science enthusiast from Nampa, Idaho.
I’m have completed a degree in Computer Science at Northwest Nazarene University with an emphasis in data science. I’ve had the opportunity to study abroad in Nairobi, Kenya where I learn to work with people internationally.
Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking camping canyoneering and photography. Some of my top spots to hike/canyoneer in and around the treasure valley include Leslie Glutch, Wildcat Canyon, and Jordan Craters. Some more hard to reach places that I enjoy include Leprechaun Canyon in Utah and Fern Pit in Jordan Craters.
As for camping I enjoy going up to the Boise national forest and doing a little primitive camping, hiking the surrounding trails, soaking in hot springs, and taking pictures. My photography is mostly for my own benefit/consumption. I like to photograph trips I take and save them with the plan of making slideshows for every year of my life, much like my father has done for himself and all my siblings. I do dabble in still life photography and have won a few awards here and there but for the most part photography is something that I simply just enjoy
If I had to sum up my professional goals I would sum it up this way:
"I enjoy merging creativity with technical precision to make a real impact on the world."
